The breakfast was freshly prepared and overall our stay was enjoyable! Torquay City Centre district deserves to be explored. A lovely bar at the hotel.
Room was lovely, and breakfast is delicious. Hotel was very clean. When I arrived the host was amazing.
We didn't want to leave and will be back. There is bar Aztec Bistro, set 500 metres walk away.
Steve and Nicola were very friendly and helpful The premises were very clean and tidy and we were made very welcome.
Very clean, nice place. Excellent service and pleasant helpfull owners.
The warm welcome, service given and attention to detail made an enjoyable stay. Would always go back again
Good service, good value for money and good location
we liked that the room was clean.
hospitality, parking, no iron in room- so lack of facilities. no fresh drink making facilities.
The hosts were truly hospitable, rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated and the breakfast was scrumptious !
Very pleasant, comfortable guest house. Excellent breakfast. Near to all amenities - buses, sea and town centre 10 minutes walk.
Rather limited parking area but parking allowed at top of road without any charges.
warm welcome by Steve and lovely room with comfortable bed.
only one small recommendation that the bath towels could have been bigger (bath sheets).
Location to the Riviera Centre
It was a pleasure to stay in that hotel, staff very friendly and always ready to help.Room very clean, cousy bed...it was a grief to leave.
the buckingham lodge guest house was nice rooms were tidy and clean the bed was ok but i had neck pain on waking up, the owners where pleasent and did help my husband with our luggage up a flight of stairs we actually booked it on a last minute to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary i am disabled but alas we were still given an upstairs room i did mention on the booking forms so it was abit of a struggle for me . the guest house did seem a little deserted at times there was no one on reception you had to ring a bell and wait it just seemed like we were the only guests sometimes did seem a little unusual although they did ask if everything was ok, we had a key and had to unlock the main door to enter is not easy to spot from the road
the only real grumble i suppose we did have was on our last morning we were looking forward to a hearty breakfast before we traveled home however on entering the dining room we told the owners wife had been sick through the night and there would be no english breakfast at all only cereals toast or fruits there didnt appear to be any relief cover in the kitchen the husband did say he probably could of cooked but didnt think he could plate up and serve as well , the other problem that morning was a late arrival of italian guests taking up to 5 tables and continued to shout across to each other as we dined as we had a window seat they then stood outside smoking and standing outside the window shouting to friends that was not nice.
The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable and couldn't have been more helpful.
